This box set is good

42 smackers from the Amazon. They are good screwies but the handles are brittle so no gripping with pipe grips or hitting with a hammer (no need to ask how I know). It does have a bias towards heavy long bladed drivers which have a hex below the handle for spannering. Box is good though and I have a delicate set for leccy jobs.

I like the look of that!

Looks a good spec and a good box.....but yes, the handles themselves look like they could have been made a bit less budget.

These are the one I mean, great for tight screws as the don’t round the head as easily.

They never seem to last, you'd think by now manufacturers would have accepted everyone uses them as chisels and punches and would make them suitable for the job

That's because a good set is £50 and everyone wants to pay £20 because half they time your lose them before they break. I just bought a new set last week from screwfix.

I got a kamasa set from opie oil simply to bump up my minimum order and avoid postage, decent drivers. the philips ones are my go to set for problem screws

A year later I repeated the order but they accidentally sent a set of kamasa spanners 10-32mm instead, spanners are decent and accurate but the chrome pealed making sharp edges for a while. Maybe thats why they 'accidentally' sent them out to get rid of a bad batch??

Aldi are doing a 100 piece set for £19.99 this week.
I might have to give them a visit.
Lidl do a similar but smaller set every now and then. I've got one in the workshop, and another one screwed to the wall with a similar looking spanner set up to 30mm up in the cattle shed, because that's where I tend to need them. The problem is that everyone else knows they're there too, and there's a lot of gaps in the sets now!
