Selecting an existing field trimble750

If U are asking about old CFX-750:

U start a job.
U choose the field from >Client >Farm >Field menu system and Task also New old Old
Then select the Guidance line (do not make a new one once again as they can not be deleted...)
If you are close enough to the field U will see the guidance lines on display. Maybe border also if the is one.

Something like that.

One better write down the >Client >Farm >Filed thing in a book or else U will spend a heck of a long time finding it again.

Also one better not to do any unnecessary lines, as they can not be removed or modified...
Things like "Sift here" and >Save will make a new one. Use with care.

Awful difficult. Been with it for 5 years now. And still find it very difficult.

The older EZ-Guide 500 has a "Field Finder" that helped a lot: Showed some sort of slight idea of nearby fields. But CFX-750 does not have that.

For what it costs I would give it a school report number (4-10 scale) maximum 5- for this aspect in CFX-750.

Thanks for that I have an old diary I write notes in for my 750 so I shall put all this in there ,will try it out tomorrow as I could be spraying with it in sprayer ,comes in handy to check tram lines .Probably best to delete all fields and start again properly.

If U have reasonable AB /Headland /Curves or what ever Lines for some of your fields do not delete them all.
Just delete old coverage logs as they take a huge amount of the small internal memory.
If memory gets too full there will be odd behavior...
Just get rid of all such data which is not usable .

Once U have borders and guidance lines right on a field it is really nice.
Drilling / planting middle first and headland last can be done and U might be able to lift your sugar beet easy even if there is snow on the ground...
Well - I work on RTK.

But if U just use it for (auto) steering up and down the field then it might best to delete the whole field.

It is possible, but not simple, to delete lines by downloading the fields and editing them in GIS. DON'T delete the headland or infill AB associated with it without deleting the other, or all hell breaks loose. Renaming can be done in excel.

I have also played a little with QGIS and MapWindow.

Open Source QGIS would have a lot of potential but I find it difficult to work with. Been using it only couple times a year.
Wish someone had written / made videos simple how to start seeing /editing ag guidance lines and VRA prescription files etc with it.

You can also view and measure shp files in free Google Earth Pro desktop.
Maybe also rename and delete them. But I haven't really played around with it enough to find out if everything will go right when U move them back to the CFX or ez-500.
