Sending products back ? Or discounts for next year ?

I imagine a lot of stock planned by agronomists for autumn application is still sat on farm and in many cases unlikely to be used now until next autumn

So those that pay a premium for these produced via tied agronomy will you be able to send such product back and not be billed or are you expected to pay regardless ?

distribution will have storage and cash flow issues particularly of unused bulky product like Avadex so are discounts being offered to keep it over year on farm ?

anyone had such conversations ? I was told at croptec of a few deals being done if they agreed to keep product on farm vs send it back and discounts on product if bought now for next season. Interested to know what others may have negotiated and may help other farmers learn what’s being agreed ?

personally I’m thinking I would buy Avadex for next year if offered enough discount to take it now ??

I will be looking at longer credit or returning chemical
space in the store will be a big issue as Avadex takes up a lot space
although I do use it on spring barley very effective on wild oats and black grass as well as suppressing many blw which the crop then out competes ( these were on the original label 40 years ago )

my Agronomist told me not to worry about paying for the small amount I had delivered and have always taken any unused product back. I guess it’ll hit the big farms that buy independently . One advantage of a decent serviced agronomist that I’ve worked with for years.

I used to take back and credit anything that wasn't used in time. Unopened/excess cans also came back. Mind you when taking on new clients never ceased to be amazed by the Aladdins cave of stuff they seemed to have- thousands worth of cans foisted on them by people who clearly didnt give a fudge.

I feel hard done by now, all I get is a diary at Christmas
Same here ?. Previous agronomist- before his retirement - use to bring a bottle of wine with the diary.
Although I do make sure I get a handful of pens and a few notebooks to last a year when attending the yearly NRoSO course they put on

Wouldn't the simplest thing here for CTL, be to let those who have stock but no crop planted, sell it to those who are fortunate enough to have crop planted but no CTL im stock?

Complain- the bulk of my more regular clients got a bottle at Christmas.

5 bags of pony paddock a year does not count mind....
