Is the aforementioned licence not horrendously expensive? Why not dispose on farm , just need license off EA
Pay 273 to spread mine, but i suppose it will go off the volumeIs the aforementioned licence not horrendously expensive?
Same heremany years ago, we had to give a map and were told where it could be disposed of (bearing in mind I did not want to contaminate the house well), I can't remember how much it was, if anything, but I remember having to get a license.
So it's 273 pound a head in England would wales be the same? Still looking at disposing off farm if anybody has done so?????They changed the charge for the volume a few years ago. The threshold was lowered as far as the volume of spent dip went. I think it went to near £900 per year but even at the £273 rate you can still dispose of a fair amount of spent dip
It’s 273 per licence or ring for someone to take it away if you likeSo it's 273 pound a head in England would wales be the same? Still looking at disposing off farm if anybody has done so?????
EA havee changed it the cost of a new licence in England is around £2800 and £900 a year to keep it now. Will have some used dip stored in a couple of IBC containers.Don't want to dispose on farm.Which waste disposal companies take the dip to dispose of it correctly. Thanks in advance
That's what I was thinking. I know our renewel shot up and made my eyes water!EA havee changed it the cost of a new licence in England is around £2800 and £900 a year to keep it now.
All of mine goes to a chemical treatment companySo it's 273 pound a head in England would wales be the same? Still looking at disposing off farm if anybody has done so?????
Ridiculous the amount they charge now !That's what I was thinking. I know our renewel shot up and made my eyes water!
That’s wrong. I’ve got 3 dippers 3 licences nearer £900 for all three.EA havee changed it the cost of a new licence in England is around £2800 and £900 a year to keep it now.
Would they be Debra approved and of local authority approved??All of mine goes to a chemical treatment company
Nothing beats dipping. They do better after they’ve been done. Most folks are on with injectables round about. The way they seem to alter the charges on a whim I've been looking at our dipper set up. It's ready for a revamp to make life easy again. I'm quite seriously thinking about giving up my disposal licence and just having a mobile dipper come. Once at weaning, do all my ewes and homebred lambs then. Then the bought in stock wait until there are 5/600 on the quarantine block and have the mobile man again. Save the mither of dip disposal, having to order dip, handling it myself (we have an Animax pump but I still don't like the stuff) it's one less thing I have too maul sheep about for too!!
But it's just so godamn handy being able too dip 150 whenever I want!!
never been convinced as too the efficiency of the injectables. Fully agree that nothing beats dipping. But the way I get dip flu for a few hours within 2 days of every dip really is starting too put me off. Think it's the fumes that do it as much as anything. It's an outdoor tank in what is probably the most windswept corner of the yard so I don't know how it gets me but it does!!Nothing beats dipping. They do better after they’ve been done. Most folks are on with injectables round about.

They must be defra approved there is only a hand full of places that iknow that will take the stuff
