Sheep turn over crate, or not? Ewe's in lamb

Hi,
Whats everone thoughts on using a turnover crate on ewe's which are about 60 days in lamb?
Got a few to attend to bad feet and am worried if i use the crate the may abort?
Thinking of getting one for the future and my backs not getting any younger!!

Expect a load of posts about not needing to touch their feet but… 60days in lamb would be about the safest time to do anything stressful to them imo, turnover crate or anything else.

in other news ive just eaten a whole bar of chocolate Mrs : has bought home for me ..

and watching last nights TOP 1978/83 repeats with a can of fosters ...
ha ha beat that .

I’ve got a ironworks turnover crate for sale, lack of use the last 6 years forces sale

think I'd get those affected in (dry underfoot) and jag them....bet most of them would clear up leaving fewer to 'concentrate' on

you'll also have the numbers in book come culling time

I gave up turning ewes , any limping get 2ml of zactran and a red mark on the head , cures them in a few days , any repeats get culled

Alamycin here then culled once reared their lambs.

I crutch alot of in lamb ewes in a sheep handler which takes them half way over, never had any problems with slips

Don't do any past 8 weeks out from lambing.

I shear all my ewes 1-2 weeks before lambing. Haven't had any issues yet.

My son made one for crutching for his A level DT and made it with a latch to let it go over further to do feet if needed. Works very well. Doesn't need to clamp the ewes tight to tip them so I would guess safe on in lambers

I've turned ewes right upto lambing with iae crate no problem just be careful and quiet ,
