silage wrap prices

Any of you folks got prices for silage wrap yet?
Getting told from rep today that any stock they have is standing on last years price (silotite £55) but any new stock is going to be considerably dearer!!
Pulling a stunt or is this what others are finding?

Oil prices are going up quite rapidly ... see fert prices

John Deere boxed wrap last year was £50 a roll. Told it's going to be up 8% this year to £54 where it was couple of years back

That seems good price.
£55 I quotedwas for a pallet!!

I payed £50 a roll for a pallet of 40 last year been in to see if they had anymore left might be getting a pallet and half gathered up. Asked about this year's price they said not got one yet but they heard it would be up 8%

Hedged my bets and got mine in November at last years price.

Mole Valley and Bridgman’s have had their prices for early season for around a week now
Black Silotite @ £52.75 a roll untill end of March and then suppliers are putting a fair lift in prices so prices will rise considerably

Snap, was a highly likely that it would go up. But really this years stuff would be made back end of last year which was when fuel was at its cheapest

Last year when fuel was cheap, I ask my supplier if wrap was dropping, no he said this stuff was made when fuel was high.

So when I ring for a price this year the price seems to have an immediate effect on fuel price. As usual a total load of bolluck#. The wrap should be cheaper this year as it was made with cheaper oil last year.

I saw some clear on bales the other day. Looks a good idea as you can see if a bale has an issue before you set it down for a particular group of stock, especially pregnant animals.

Have to say though I can count on one hand how many we have had an issue with this year with 6 layers on.

Just cleared 14 rolls from our local JD dealership today,last of last years stock at £52 per roll.

With two old rolls we have left over it should do for the bales we will make this year.

Been quoted £49 today for korozo, silotite 1800m is £60. They are trying to talk the price up, big increases on the way apparently but I've over 2 pallets left from last year so don't need much this time.
