use similar here, i wont be swallowing the price increase this time as i did thre last time. however if it was to go down i would remain or drop price relative. it is a business and unfortunalty it is getting more expensive to buy but without it or with poor quality the silage just isnt the same from a bale.
What do you charge baled 6layers of wrap do you offer chopping?

Seems to be a fair bit of profit taking being made by suppliers this year if most customers are paying more than last year.

£49.50 for black Silawrap with mine. Good few years since I last paid under £50
Said they bought 3 artic loads pre Brexit. Doubt they were alone in doing something like that.

Before I left school in the early 80s my brother bought a wrapper and I remember the film was 28 roll which was dear then , we were one of the first to have a wrapper and salesman patter was oh yes but these will take off and the film will get cheap 😂 it’s went up ever since I think .

I use maybe 160-200 rolls. Should price go up 20p a bale or just swallow it
I've no idea.... if you're uncomfortable that your margin is a bit high, and competitors might slip under you, absorb it and explain that you have.
If you're close to the edge, pass it straight on.
What kind of customer could complain? (oh, and i know the answer to that...but I'd suggest substituting 'a soon to be ex customer'.

£7.50 for 4 layers, £8.50 for 6 layers, all chopped unless asked not to, still same charge for unchopped. was last years price, this year could be 50p more depending on fuel and net, as said i swallowed the last price rises not doing it this time.

when i started 15? years ago same plastic was £37.50, net £90ish for tama 3000metre and i still use tama. we were dear at £6 for 6 layers when 4 layers could be got for £4.50-4.80, now we are about standard or slightly cheaper. If they think it too dear i dont be there, its their choice not my obligation.

What are they supposed to do, your the one with the taxpayers handout!
I am so glad you said that.

I got shot down when I said contractors don't pay for their shiny new toys , the farmers do.
You just backed up what I said.

So what do contractors intend to do when farmers taxpayers handouts get changed to payments for environmental benefits delivered that include a cost of delivery?

Anyway all this film was made when oil prices were low. No need for the price rises!

It’s going up 3-5 pound a roll no matter who you buy it from. I’m glad I bought two years worth last year pre brexit and covid

How well does it store for that long?
I've some left over from last year and was worried about keeping that long.
It is in a dry cool dark place.

Think I've swallowed for long enough. I've been same price since 2015 when I got onto film on film. I won't do 4layers. Charge £8-£8.50

Wee bit o an update,
phone call end o last week saying silotite have pulled the prices and supply o wrap!!🤬🤬
Told they have backed out o a 350 pallet order, and when I phoned an alternative supplier they were having same situation.
They got an email saying they wouldn't be supplying order and when they get back to taking orders they'll be looking at £9 a roll increase in price o_O
