for what its going to be used for nothing that breaks the bank say 10 grand
John deere 2140. Easy to find. About 8k With Loader. Bullet proof tractor and easy to work on. Either SG2 Cab which is the best for its time. or a sekura cab which has a tendency to rust on the wings but a good cab.

Are you handy on the spanners? - days like today when it's -5 C in the soft south means your yard tractor needs to start without a tin of easystart or a jump pack. Prices have risen in the last few years but you want something that will start and not pi*s hydraulic oil all over the shop. Don't buy more hp than you need

You also need to wait for the pub to reopen. We've got a couple of local contractors, both friends of mine; one is more ag based, the other more amenity / estate based. We enjoy(ed) a pint or two, shooting the sh*t.

Their kit is turned over quite often. I've seen a few 30-50hp smaller, higher houred but well maintained tractors with front loaders chopped in at prices that make me think "I'll buy that" - but then I come to my senses and think that we don't need more than two machines. Even in these troubled times there's some nice machines out there :)

yes I agree as long as I get few ideas and what direction to look I’ll look at my options as I say it’s not going to get much use just to feed few livestock for now anyway balancing that between potting crabs and CNC machining 😂
