Are they a a gimmick ? Every ag store seems to have an array of colourful detergents etc at different price points be for cleaning Agri tack and getting cow sh!t off stuff?
What do people find the best detergent wise?

Also foamers- hand pump type ? Pressure washer bottle type or just a waste of time ?

Thanks.

Jenny Chem here too. Certainly a whole array of choice and price range.
I compare it to Aldi beans, Waitrose beans & Heinz. Probably just good marketing and more expensive is more concentrated!

Honestly, I find snow foam to be overrated and a bit of a trend, read moneymaker.

The best solution is regular washing, try not to leave it weeks at a time, if it’s really bad I use a TFR based product through the pressure washer from our local company blast clean. It’s called Agri blast.

They do a van blast and a car blast, each getting more and more gentle with the TFR, so I’ll either go over it as a second coat with car blast, or I’ll sponge it with some car shampoo and a mit if I have time.

If you have even more time, dry it off and then I use Autoglym rapid ceramic spray.

With the snow foam products, do you spray it and wash it off or does it still need to be moved with a brush/sponge?

That depends how dirty is was how good the product/how agressive the product is and how long you left it to work with out it drying of cause which is a battle in summer or in wind.

Snow foam is really a prewash to remove the worse before a second wash with a shampoo and sponge etc. if doing it regular then a couple goes with snow foam can be enough on its own with out any hassle of sponge washing etc which then avoids an swirly marks in modern soft as butter paint.

having had a proper ceramic coat put on the car i can highly recommend that, makes washing so much easier.

Or for a quick shin and polished look after you can go over it after cleaning with a Hydrophobic rinse aid whihc is dead easy to do. mine is mixed 5 parts water to 1 part rinse aid i think and then i just spray/mist it on with a napsack sprayer, takes no more than a couple minutes to spray the van and then just rinse off with water. Ideally dry it with a drying cloth or you can cheat and blow dry it with a leaf blower lol or just leave it but you will have water marks once dry but they will disappear with the first rain/overnight due etc.

it will leave a finish that will shin and bead water as if you spent all day polishing it or had a ceramic coat. it can last a few weeks to a month or so.

I use Jenny chem too, its not that expensive really and is far beter products than alot. They also often email or text you deals or offers which can be worth while saving, only if you actually need to buy though rather than just buying for the sake of an offer lol
