Soil pan

Evening folks,

We plough all our land normally but about 60% is on real good soil but it is heavy yellow clay and the water can’t get away.
There will be about 170 acre ish and wondering what piece of equipment is cost effective and isn’t going to break the bank but will break the clay pan and hopefully will benefit the crops.
There’s another 150 arce on top to do but it’s got a lot of big stones in so something you can lift the legs out of work or just have it set in 5”. With us doing this job then I’d like it to leave it good enough to go straight in with the combi and not plough it all every year.
Any point in the right direction is appreciated.
Thanks

I bought a little two leg subsoiler for that reason. Under a grand with a pair of new legs. Does a good job but very slow. If you can afford it get a shakerator (don’t have to use the pto bit) they do a good job and very well built. If you’ve got more money then get a vaderstadt top down

How many ponies to play with ,, a spaldings three leg flat lift at 12 inches will get under the pan ,, run it tail down so it it slides of the wings easier

Plus one for Spaldings flat lift replaced ours with a Horsch joker which doesn’t seem to be the pan buster that the flat lift was.
But the Horsch does win in other areas
