Situation Vacant Sprayer Operator and Tractor Driver - Combinable Crops - Bedfordshire

We are looking for a sprayer operator to join our team. Our well-equipped business grows 800 hectares of combinable crops, at the home farm and for contract farming customers within a 5 mile radius. We also have a high health pig unit.

We are looking to employ a capable and reliable person to take a leading role in the operation of our 2015 36m RB35 Bateman sprayer, with Bateman Boom levelling, steering and section control, applying crop protection and liquid fertilisers. A new machine is expected in June. In this varied role you will also be expected to be involved in all other aspects of combinable crop production, machinery maintenance and other farm work.

To work alongside this small hardworking team, the candidate will be conscientious, self-motivated, have a high attention to detail and take pride in their work and machinery. The role will require the willingness to work long hours when required during tight weather windows.

Candidates should ideally possess PA1, 2, 4 and telehandler certificates and be familiar with steering systems, section control and variable rate applications. However, we are open to applicants without these, as training can be provided.

For the right candidate we are offering attractive renumeration with ongoing training and development. Accommodation can be provided if required. The area has good local schools and facilities.

Start date is flexible from January 2023.
