The best drill or seeder for sowing grass seed

In the past have used the fertiliser spreader for sowing grass seeds and clover but it is a bit dependent on the wind not being too strong and it can be a bit of a job to calibrate it. Years ago we had a seed barrow which we thought was good but that's an old machine now.

So what do people rate as the best drill or seeder for doing grass seeds and clover?
Einbock Opico type machine OR fertiliser spreader OR anything better?

Wanting to do about 100 acres a year new leys

Anyone got a Fiona grassbag sower?

Open to ideas, want to get the best I can as seed is so expensive now days.

I bought an accord as it was the cheapest most accurate way of sowing seed.
Sold it and now back to the drawing board.

The biggest advantage of the accord was that it would sow until empty, those grass harrows need a bag or two to sow with.as they have a larger and flat bottomed hopper.

Often thought of getting another accord, cutting the hopper down, fitting a hydraulic fan; and putting on our Cambridge roller. But I have other projects sadly in preference.

Would be interested in hearing about the Fiona box, as they ain't cheap.

We've a Browns grass harrow with a stocks seeder on it for our own and do a few jobs for other folk and have no complaints with it but there's likely something better out there.

Vaderstad Rapid here, does a brilliant job for grass seeds. Rapid gives excellent depth control and the press wheels firm it nicely afterwards, I've used most systems over the years and nothing has been as reliable as the Rapid. Used to use a Fiona drill many years ago which was our first big improvement over broadcasting and "guessing" the rate. Really can't understand why some prefer broadcasting to drilling.

How are you breaking the ground down? My old man made a bodge of a seeder on a 3m power harrow. Homemade land wheel etc etc. Just dribbles the seed behind the ph roller.

Vicon varispreader achieves good results I've done many acres with one.
Accord air seeder also good if you lift the coulters so they spread it lightly on top.
Lot of the twin disc fert spreaders good for grass seeds just don't drive too far apart

Bullock seeder here on his harrows and all v good job.

We have a bullock seeder mounted on our lemken combi drill, means I can sow grass and barley at the same time, when drilling straight grass just pull the lemken coulters out the ground and let the levelling harrows do there job, also use the seeder for putting slug pellets on when drilling wheat.

We worked with Ransomes Nordsten 4m drills for 38 years [one of them did 24000 acres] changed to an Einbock pro with 16 outlets the tines will do this season pipes worn through at any bends with the seed at 6m wide it speeds the job up a bit

Rapid for me
I also use the fertiliser discs set at the same depth as the seed discs and sow down them both which leaves the seams very close together, don't think you can get much better established.

Ground is power harrowed or cultivated down then rolled before sowing, think I might go with the einbock option but can't decide if the Fiona grass bag option would be better or stick with the fertiliser spreader.

Keep the ideas coming as they are all good.
