Tipping water troughs

I’ve got 11 iae tippers and every one of them is a leaky worn out pain. Bought one teemore stainless and will never go back to iae.
how is the Jayden better? Never heard of them

Jyden are Danish.

Lot of things in their favour

Fully stainless
No edges exposed
Fully plumbed with hi flo ball valves
Shallow so easy clean
Kick out bung
Plumbed so they can heat water if necessary and can be connected together with other troughs.
Wall mounted (or with legs if you want) so you can get the exact height you want

Unfortunately they’ve changed direction and are just manufacturing pig equipment.
These are sort of similar

Have odonovan tip over stainless troughs here 9 years with no bother so far, ball cock stays stationary when emptying so no pipe to wear like other makes.

I have seen those and thought they looked good but there quoting £150 delivery

So after being put off tipping water troughs, are Teemore quick emptying water troughs the ones to look at
We fitted 3 teemore stainless quick empty here a couple of weeks. To early to say but happy enough with them so far

We’ve fitted these teemoore troughs and have been very pleased, we added fast flow apex valves from kiwi kit and plumbed them up from 32mm alkathene in the manhole using hydraulic hose through the metal duct so it’s nice and protected. Also added the pvc elbow to the fast empty valve

What price are the Teemore drinkers? A lot of men installing the stainless steel tip over drinkers by an Irish outfit called Condon Engineering. Becoming very popular but yet to see one.

Of the ones I’v seen I like the deboer ones best. Quick empty, not tip over. No moving parts whatsoever. The floor is sloped quite steeply to the drain. I don't know what you call it, but the drain isn’t a valve but a large plug that expands into a 6” drain hole.

They’re very easy to drain, and if plumbed up with a good water supply they’re empty and refilled in seconds.

They’ve not got the largest capacity, quite shallow, but as above, if the water supply is good enough three cows can be drinking at once and they’ll never empty it.

For cheap and cheerful...

Drill a 4 inch hole in your existing galvanised trough and whack a rubber bung in it. Hang a churn brush on the wall to make up for the lack of slope.

It won't be shiny stainless but it will suit someone not open to spending £400+ on a trough.

Those Teemores do look great though (y)
