On the earlier tms or 60s there are two steel plates at the back left and back right afaikIs the whole roof of a TM155 fibreglass? I want to put a magnetic led beacon on the front ( not gone on the idea of drilling the roof ). But I think it’s fibreglass so obvs not an option?
Good idea I must investigate further soYou could use some of the roof fixing bolts to attach a steel plate.
I could do that but I’d prefer to keep the roof as original as possible, I could look into very strong fixing pads like 3M etc I suppose.Yes all plastic as far as I know. Can you not just glue a steel plate on with suitable adhesive and put the magnetic beacon on that?
There is a round steel plate on my 8360 but seem to remember that my brother stuck it there years ago together with a couple of tech screws to hold it secure. Perhaps I dreamt it. The tractor has been here since new in 1997 after all, so in March 2022 it will be 25 years old. Still a frontline tractor in daily use 365 days a year.
That’s a 2004 build. I don’t intend to ever buy another new tractor at my stage in life. Either of these can take the loader boom. The MF has only about 5500 hours and the NH just coming up to 10,000 hours. They’ll last a few years yet.Seem to recall you saying your 7490 has been there from new too. Will it be staying as long?
The one on my sprayer is stuck on with silicone . I cleaned both surfaces with a degreaser and dried then smeared both surfaces with silicone then a few blobs to squish out when pressed down Been there 7 years with no problem.I could do that but I’d prefer to keep the roof as original as possible, I could look into very strong fixing pads like 3M etc I suppose.
Maybe take the roof off and stick some thin plate bottom side ? Keep it looking OriginalI could do that but I’d prefer to keep the roof as original as possible, I could look into very strong fixing pads like 3M etc I suppose.
Can you not make a tidy frame to come up off the worklight brackets? And use the plug by the wiper arm to power the light. Is the whole roof of a TM155 fibreglass? Seem to remember that there are two circular recesses in the roof upper surface, one towards each rear corner. Stick and/or self-tap screw a metal plate in each of these ....... It won't be seen & it won't affect the appearance of the tractor.Yes all plastic as far as I know. Can you not just glue a steel plate on with suitable adhesive and put the magnetic beacon on that?
