Thanks I'm going to try everyone. Just need to make sure it's all like for like cover.
Done a call back for acres and a plan rural so far.

I swapped to Acres and saved £3000 with better cover. I had the misfortune to have to make a claim within the first month of my policy and their service ( and settlement of my claim ) was excellent. Have recommended them to several of my customers/friends and they’ve all made similar savings and had the same excellent service so on that basis I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Thanks Simon, quote is about £1000 more than last yr. No claims at all.
Also quote is for 2, 5yr old tractors.
Will be swapping 1 for a new tractor before December when it expires so it's going to be a bit higher too.

Don't mean to sound rude but you must be insuring a lot of value to get that saving?! We've just had our renewal price with nfu and nearly collapsed. Will look for a couple of other quotes next week, will ask lycetts and find someone else, not sure who yet as last time we asked acres 2 years ago they were more than nfu.

Insurance prices increasing drastically? You have to ask yourself why that is?

Let's have a think...

Sky high natural gas prices- up 150%?

Risk of being hit by stray Russian cruise missile increased by 35%?

Increasing number of cyclists on roads- traffic now up 0.15% as a result?

Anecdotal reports of flying pigs and consequent rise in damage to building skylights 15%?

Increase in shareholder profit aspirations- bung on an 11% rise?

And last but not least, Brexit (which farmers all voted for apparently), slap on an additional fudge tax of 3.5%?

There you have it, a rise of 214.65%

Hope this helps. (y)

Avoid a plan, they’re happy to sell a policy but leave you high and dry if you claim. No help at all in my experience. Even forced me into renewing as the claim crossed the renewal date if I wanted it to be resolved, then told me to sort it myself after I renewed 🤬
