Tucano 560 vs NH CX6.80

That is the big question. But I would have thought it must be very similar

Does your combine have an on-board weigher?
Can you tell us what Cebis says the tonnes/hr of harvested wheat is?

My CX 6080 is doing 25 tonnes/hr, cutting the stubble at 11cm.
When I use the Dual-Stream cutting the stubble with the header knife at 18-26cm, it goes up to 32.5 tonnes/hr, because this reduces the straw going onto the Combine and over the Straw Walkers. That is a 50% increase in capacity because the straw walkers are no longer the limiting factor.

Unfortunately we kept the spec very simple and didn’t have any yield monitors fitted, I’d say we roughly average 20/25 ton an hr in decent wheat. Obviously if you had a on board ton/hr it would be saying more spot rate, but averages are the most important in my opinion.

vari feed cutting dry corn

17-18 thr it just does'nt like straw
is that wheat or barley? Cx8030 here (a 5 walker) 17ft vari header, barely ripe heavy crop winter barley - 17-18 tph will be the limit. Nice ripe srring barley - low to mid 20s tph. Wheat - mid to high 20s tph. Really good going dry wheat 30-32 tph.

we had a cx 8030 before it was a better machine than this one
I’d suggest something wrong should be at least double that
i think so as well but can,t find the problem

I’m guessing a 560 is a 5 walker width with aps, 18” drum and single rota? I know of a few 570s which are the same but the width of a 6 walker and from what I gather would sit at just over 30 tons an hour think they fly in fit wheat but are steadier in crops where sieves are more of a factor ie osr. I have a Lexion 650 which is 6 walker and I think they would be maybe a bit faster in wheat than mine but walker has better straw and will probably be more reliable long term being less forced separation

They really aren’t hard on straw when set correct, see picture below.

Can you get a consistent swath because I’m led to believe there is a swath deflection rota in the back. I’ve never seen really as I’m sat on our combine but my brother bales drives a big baler and tells me it’s very inconsistent swath that doesn’t fall central to the combine. I’m keen on them but brother is very anti rotarys

The demo I had, we messed about with that deflection, changes the swath quite a bit, I didn’t think the straw was all that bad, we’ve a walker at mo. Once our straw man put some through his little baler he also stopped thinking it was that bad.

Think brothers opinion is it’s ok if it doesn’t get wet. And he can run pickup higher and go faster with a walker

That would make sense to me, but sod the baler, I thought the combine was great :D
Yes as combine driver I get frustrated with walker losses but our place baler is equally important as wet straw can be the difference between getting drilled and not and we use 100% of our own straw. But back to op claas will be faster in my opinion

I do all the baling behind ours and can honestly say the straw out of a single rotor is extremely uniform, we are in the wet west so get wet straw plenty of times, and a quick flick with the rake and it’s good to go, certainly no worse than a big walker combine. You need to get one out on demo I’m sure it will impress.
