Turn out treatments?

Winter ends on our first year of suckler cows, calving is done with no issues. We're hoping to turn out this week. The cows got wormed and fluked before Christmas and they had a bolus in November. Is there anything else I should give them? Calves haven't had anything other than a tag, is it worth giving them blackleg or similar? Any fly protection required? We probably aren't going to touch them now until early June so want to cover of any bases.

If the cattle are grazing where soil has been disturbed in the last year or two, ditching is an example, it's certainly worth considering treating against Blackleg.

Calves from unvaccinated cows will need two injections, 4 -6 weeks apart, before they have an active level of immunity.

Best to discuss the best way ahead with your Vet.

All ours get are mag buckets at turnout and the calves get a vecoxan dose as well. Fly treating the cows shouldn’t be needed till you handle them in June. I wouldn’t worry about worming the cows in the future they can cope with a level of worms and are better not to be naive for lungworm.
