Tx 65 vs class 430 tucano

Currently running a '99 yellow one and have got the opportunity to buy an '08 Class.
Similar sized machines I guess. Will output be greater the same or less?
The 65 is a good combine but there comes a time when you've got to upgrade a little.
Only cutting about 300 acres a year but with these catchy summer's I want to get on during the dry days.

I expect yellow fans will say one thing and green fans another.

Just check the spec on the claas as you may be disappointed coming from a TX65. Does it have things like APS, 3D sieves, vario header etc? You may be moving to a newer machine but probably little between them in terms of output and tech if the Toucano has not had the option list ticked, as they are an entry level machine. The TX, is a solid machine and will have a rotary separator, returns to the sieves and possibly self levelling sieves.

A Lexion 530, NH CX7xxx or similar would give the the increase in output you are after.

No idea about the New Holland but we have a 430 and would give it a big thumbs up. Cutting a bit over 300 acres and it breezes it.

Edit to say I think they all have APS and 3D sieves and ours also has a vario header.

The 430 has vario header ( put plates in for osr), aps and self levelling sieves. My tx doesn't have self levelling or vario header which would be a big advantage.
Have always been told the txs were the best combine New Holland made, certainly better than some of their replacements.
To be fair, I could run the tx for another 10 years without too much bother but then the replacement cost is even greater.
I bale the straw so I don't want anything that smashes it up.

You could keep hold of the NH for 10 years by which point you have a 30 + yr old machine. Based on the spec it sounds good. I think you have already made your mind up in any event .....

Got a 430 here, chap that buys some of our straw behind it still reckons it leaves the best straw compared to the other combines he follows. It’ll do 300 acres easy, we’ve a 20ft header.

Not sure about output both are good combines but the 430 might have a vario which would be a game changer. You won’t find a more reliable Combine than the 430 although 08 was their first season they did have a few niggly problems at first but all were sorted by the time we bought our 440 in 09. I know of a 430 that used to cut 1000 acres

Have they re-done their sums in light of shiny metal not rising quite as fast as grain? It would be remiss of them to miss an opportunity to advocate extra capacity.

It's amazing that every supplier tries to argue that extra output can all be spent on their input.
