Valtra PTO problems

Evening all

Having problems with my valtra N154. The PTO will not engage in 1000 box the dealer has replaced the PTO speed sensor and it worked for around 4 hours and has stopped again. The dealer is now saying it is the selector that can be sticky sometimes and will need a shaft or gear changed which means splitting the tractor. He had mentioned it is not an uncommon fault in them obviously it is only a month out of warranty (only done 1600 hours)
Has anyone else had the same issue and if so what was the cost of repair and did valtra help with the cost?

You’re obviously very unlucky didn’t think valtra’s broke down! Not wanting to start an argument! 🙈😂
Oh that's what I thought too. Worked with valtras since they were valtra valmets and would of agreed with you until I got this one. Had new fuel system ignition rear hub seals breaks are wearing out faster Lewis Hamiltons tyres at Silverstone and most seriously of all it's on its second fridge.

I’ve always considered them marmite tractor! You either love or hate them, and as far as reliability goes they seem to be at either end of the spectrum as well, either faultless or Friday afternoon ones!

I would of up until this of said you would be very unlucky to get a unreliable valtra but there are more and more people now having serious reliability problems but most new tractors are going that way now I think.

Updated symptoms when I put the rear PTO on 1000 it tries to start gets to 200rpm and goes back off it tries to do this three time and then stops no error codes come up. :banghead:

Is it easy to get to and replace as would rather spen the money replacing it myself before sending it to dealer and giving them £1000s if just a solenoid

What is the serial number(VIN) of your tractor?
