Ventilation tube for calf shed

We have two 120 foot Proctor fans in our cattle shed. They run fairly quietly and cost around £1 per day to run. It's hard to say if they help as we have had them in the shed from day one but we probably only get one case of Pneumonia in there per yearif that but we do also vaccinate.

Made a few ourselves out of non perforated 12” twin wall, bit Agri looking but you notice a fair difference if they’re turned off

I bought some layflat tubing (below ) off ebay. Punched holes in it using hole saw @4 & 8 o'clock.
Used high tensile wire threaded through tube and attached at either end of shed. One end Attached to fan the other sealed up.
The setup for a 27m shed cost about £300 plus installation. Pumping clean air into shed reduces ammonia concentration in calf shed. For us this reduced incidence of pneumonia (rough estimate) by 85%

What size fan did you use?
And where did you get it from?
Cheers

I think fan size was 500mm which relates to the size of the square flange rather than diameter of the fan, thinking about I could be wrong

Made a one today
Fan cost £150 includes a speed controller
Bought a roll of plastic tube for another £ 100 ( more than enough to do 3 or 4 tubes )
Took about an hour to punch the holes out

Better than the quote of £1700 and 4 weeks waiting time I got yesterday
Can you post a link to where you bought the fan from?
