Very cold in Norfolk

It's handy for getting trailer loads of materials across fields, but not so handy for hedge planting.
I would rather this cold and dry than the mild and wet

Minus 8 here. We are now in a routine of carting water to the pigs. Currently about 4000 head from 15 to 100 kg. Using about 3000 gallons to about 40 pens. Approx 3 hours work for one man.

One year I spent the whole of February doing nothing but thawing pipes for pigs on a farm in Essex. My God it was grim!
I had actually forgotten how grey and cold an Essex winter can be.

Nice enough day here today, no frost.

I remember rodding Grandma's house grey water pipe, it was all frozen awful job.

+1, but foggy, visibility is down to 200m with us today. Thawing out so claggy again on surface.
Feels a lot colder though than the - 7 days we saw earlier in the week when we had sunlight..

We managed it in ‘63’
At least they’re getting muck off with a pick. At sharpest temps tunnelled under to get spuds out, then collapse and clear, before moving rocker up.
