Drakeford Flexing his muscles with another 3 weeks stay at home.

Anyone think that Romanian Gypsy looking one in the bandana doing the sign language is Mrs D?

Thought he’d jump the gun and is allowing multiple trips outdoors so long as it’s “local”

Well, I have no idea what local is ... 500m of home, a mile, 5 miles, 10?

Don't often agree with Drakeford.....infact.....never......but I think he's got it right this time, Far too early to end the lockdown IMO.

I think he's a complete pr*ck... He looks like Beaker in your pic. And dodders about.

I agree in ways aswell with extending it... But we can't have the green flag in England and a total stop in Wales. It all needs setting out in one at the same time We're open but they closed etc.. you can here but not there.

Times suggesting Johnson is looking at June at the earliest but apparently when to unlock is devolved to the nations. Sturgeon says no, Foster says no, Johnson says no, Drakeford says go

This being the case....why did Boris make the comment at PMQs about the changes that might come into effect on Monday from his speech due Sunday? He'd have been better to say nothing.

It's almost a you have to stay in but Craic on if you want... Then when they give green light a chunk will be already back at it anyway.

Trouble is, they say something then immediately have to reverse ferret

There needs to be a clear “road map” out of this otherwise people will just drift back to normality.
There is no way it can be policed in reality

It's easier to make the public think it's their idea to go back to work and out and about rather than the government telling them maybe?

Exactly! One day Boris announced that, the following day lots more sections of government almost contradicting his comments.

Comes across rather unprofessional!

Hi, Can I just say 'normality' will not return in any way until the government controlled parts of our society open up -- so the schools, dentists, standard medical procedures, general retail. Farmers are small scale businesses, as are many tradesmen and as thus we may be relatively normal but the economy and society not. Yesterday I spoke (2 metres of course) with a sole trader painter in the village. He has been off past 8 weeks as does mainly interior decoration. Has actually enjoyed past eigh weeks as done a lot of jobs in his own house - but now -- well wants to work. Fortnately he picked up a job yesterday with a neighbor of ours - a recently retired Army officer and wife moved in from London, so plenty cash and secure pensions (why oh why did I choose Agriculture all those years ago!?) who have booked him to do some outside paint work, so socially safe distance - now if they can get the paint.??

Hi, yes, I concurr, I think private businesses will start to move - but until civil servant type organisations move then it will be a part opening up, that was my comment, not meant by the way to be derogatory of your observations. And we are seeing already the potential local skirmishes for advantage for economic victory with the TUC having a go at government about pay and conditions and H&S and PPE and generally getting ready for a few scraps.

I saw a recently retired teacher yesterday in his garden - we go to see bands together. His Daughter in law teaches currently. My friend 'stands his ground over employment' so I suspect on here he would be called a leftie teacher. he does read he Guardian and thei !! But he made sure his daughter joined the Techers Union a few weeks ago as previously she was ambivalent about union membership.

SME's struggle I think to understand collective unionised workforces.

Best wishes,
