Specifically 8 ton machines?

Been trying to find a decent second hand Takeuchi 8 ton digger but everything is either very high houred or very expensive or both.

So i wondered what does say a Takeuchi tb290, or similar Cat or kobelco actually retail for?

Seems everything is going mad i reckon id get all or most of my money back on the volvo digger i bought 9 years ago.

No I idea. It will depend on the make. It will be well over £50k by now will it not?
Iirc new 8t volvo discounted price was about £43k about 5 years ago.
Saw a tb 290 in a dealers before xmas. 4 yr old and 3k hours. It was 40k plus vat. One a couple of weeks ago with less hours and newer was 55k i think

Thanks for all the replies. I doubt id ever buy a new one but it sort of gives me an idea of what second hand ones are valued at.
Silly money is where second hand prices are at the mo unless of course you've something to sell. I reckon prices could drop a little in about 12 months time maybe but who knows.

Yes i agree. Ive been watching the facebook pages selling diggers and most of the time i think you have to be kidding.

Anything decently priced has 50 messages in no time.

Certainly no bargains to be had on there

You might find going new on a 0% finance and warranty deal will cost the same as a good used machine over 5 years
You don't see much 0% on diggers tbh and warranties can be fairly standard at 1 or 2 years (longer are sometimes available but tbh cover v little)

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
