Hi
Just need some advice I’ve now retired and I’ve got about 6 acres of overgrown grassland with a few trees hear and there which I used to maintain myself as a garden any suggestions as to what I can do with it now as it’s getting harder to maintain myself, where can I get someone to come and mow it for me about once a month in the growing season and what is the going rate for this service or will anyone be interested in renting it for hay and what will be going rate for that, and where’s the best place to advertise for this service
Kind regards

I can bring sheep to mow it.
I charge £100 per week to keep grass short.

Any local livestock producers who might take it for hay, keep the hay (there probaly won't be much unless they slap on some manure/fert) as payment? With luck they might agree to top it in September too to limit the tussock situation. That should maintain the land.

Advertise it as a home for retired horses, register as a charity, open up for donations, sit back and enjoy the good life. The re-homing charities are full and all their 'inspectors' seem to drive around in big expensive cars. Those retiring their horses will leave their considerable fortunes to you for the permanent care of Dobin. You, of course, are the manager requiring a very large salary.
