As above, got a bit thats never been limed before and wanting to reseed it next year but wanting to plough it this year and sow it into something preferably grass or westerwolds etc to get rid of all the trash and lime it this year so i can have a good reseed next year. What would i sow in it that will grow in these conditions?

Does it need lime? Black land here grows grass very well with some rather low pH levels. Remember an old agro advising some crazy tonnage until I pointed out the organic matter content.

Plough or rotavavate it then lime on top and work it in, be fine
Put either Westerwolds or Italian on
Brassica don't like that type of ground if it's a bit wet
Could mixca few kgs of Perennial in to give a bit of bottom grass

Thats the plan, but just looking a rough reseed atm to get something to grow and then once the lime gets time to work get it done properly

Itl be pretty bad as we only started farming it last year and the previous owners didnt bother too much with it, itd be too soft to get onto with slurry currently. Hoping itl dry up this year yet so i can get onto it
