Where to sell low specific weight oats

My spring oats this year are really poor quality, 35.5 kg/hl and 12.5 % admixture. I have spoken to the companies I usually sell grain through but they can't move anything less than 40. Any ideas who might buy ?

If you run them through a good cleaner, maybe twice you will potentially have something marketable. Whether its worth it financially difficult call

Feed them if you have stock or find someone that has. It’s what I’m doing with some poor spring barley here. Will save on the cake bill.

How much have you? If you don’t have a large tonnage buy some good quality and mix that should get u above 40 kg/ha , oats at 35.5 are worth very little to anyone

A rough idea of location and tonnage would help as its the haulage thats the killer ,admix straw and chaff is one thing weed seed at 12% is another pm if suits you better

Flog locally for livestock rations. If they are milled up nicely they are excellent in ruminant diets especially for young stock as they are gentle on the guts. Someone will buy them if the price is right.

Local mill and mix company or feed company might know someone who feeds a lot of grain who will probably jump on them and have your hand off as they represent cheap starch.

Often at that kghl it is mostly husk and very little goodness, almost like chopped chaff.

have sold some into TMR mixers and also biomass but it’s not pretty. Haulage is also costly as can’t get the weight on the lorry.
Big biomass walking floor lorries work, but loading them can be a challenge on farm as so high sided.
