I've been with Farmers and Mercantile a few years now. Never had to make a claim with them but good service and premium

Was with F&M for couple of years and was unfortunate enuf to make a claim (7 month old can-am went up in smoke) 3rd week in May. Took them to end of August before they eventually paid out (was beginning to think they were going to refuse)
If that had been Nfu identical new bike within 7-14 days if its under 12 months old.
Maybe a wee bit more expensive but never had any problems when making a claim with them, which is worth a lot.
In past 4 years I've been back with Nfu premium has hardly increased.
Don't get me wrong, for years Nfu were way off with their cost but personally I think they've started to see it was costing them customers.

I came away from NFU when they effectively trebled their motor element premium (no claims just how they then saw their under-writing), never got close to Rural Insurance or F&M since . Acorn looked last year and said they couldn't better my rate

Exactly my experience! Couple of small claims this year - replacement phone paid within 48hrs (could have been delivered next day), and accident damage to agricultural machinery requiring dealer repair paid up within 14 days. No issue, no hassle.

As above - my renewal last year was pretty much identical to the previous year. Await finding out the premium for upcoming renewal to see if the claims have affected it.

I could not be happier with NFUM insurance (and especially my agent) currently.

Another bonus - any changes to insurance don't incur any broker fee (previous insurer charged £25 admin fee to add/remove items or make changes to policy).

Avoid nfu they’re sheisters at getting Out of a claim we had a loadall hit our pickup crabbing going down a road at 40kmh lad drove off managed to stop him, the nfu couldn’t find out the lads name if he had a driving lisence etc and aided suckleys of west Felton in getting off Scott free, nfu vs nfu, absolute shower of sh1t both suckleys and the nfu. Now use farm and general, Steve cove is very good!

I use both Cornish Mutual (Vehicle Fleet insurance) and NFU Mutual (Business and all buildings and dwelling houses). Both have been excellent. Had two recent claims with NFU and could not fault their service and settlement.
With both Cornish Mutual and NFU Mutual you can go and look the person that sold you the policy in the eye ....... to me that’s worth’s huge amount. I do not want to be trying to sort things out with anonymous people from online companies.

Currently with mole insurance were a lot cheaper than nfu
Yes cant remember the underwriters

Gallaghers are the underwriters.

I have been with MVF insurance for a four years, as they were a third of the price of the NFU (who I was with since I first had a moped at 16)

But you get what you pay for. You only realise how good an insurance company is once you make a claim and I won't be using MVF insurance again !!
