Got a 3m Khun, runs 1000rpm cant pull enough soil with levelling board to do a good enough job , it takes some driving.
Also got a 3m pegoraro runs 540 rpm more rotors easier to drive ,not as tough as khun ,want something that is easier on tractor and does a better job , I want my cake and eat it

I don't think a 2.5m will make a better job than what you all ready have.

put your money towards a 100hp tractor .

Don't see why you can't pull enough soil with a kuhn

Try changing the gear in the gearbox.

My newish Kuhn was set up to run the rotors at 313rpm, which im sure is the norm if your pulling it with 180hp+ but It made my little 100hp cough, swapped the gears in the back box and it dropped rotor speed to 230 made it a lot easier to drive meaning power to spare to drag soil to level.

SIABOD50 I think that based on the scope of your question re Finish, pulling, reliability and the HP available makes me wonder if that question has any right answer. Personally I don’t think a 85hp tractor is good enough to drive a power harrow and certainly not a 3m Kuhn, if you want to work with any ease and comfort. 150hp is what I would put on it so that the tractor is in control! Secondly the brands you mentioned would not be regarded as mainstream brands and there is probably a good reason for that. Kuhn, Lemkin, Amazon I would think are mainstream but Kuhn seems to be the no 1. I’m on my second new Kuhn 3004 and conditions sometimes are like been in a quarry and thankfully it has not let me down. So reliability and quality of finished work for me are good. I don’t expect the Harrow to level a field so if it’s very uneven it’s a digger and ploughs and land leveller but then that’s land reclamation and much more expensive than a reseed job. I doubt if you can buy say a Pegaro and expect it to do the work a Kuhn can’t like say levelling and be more reliable. I hope u get what I mean. I think if you had the horses in front of the Kuhn with good tines and the boards set correctly it would do the job as would the other brands.

No5 I know you can probably do it with a Dexta but would you be arsed? Your way ahead to get a person in who can do the job properly, in a timely manner with the correct equipment for the job. That’s how I do things but I know we are all different with different resources.

No not now, 240hp on a 3m combi, quite happy at +10kph. But the OP hasn't said how much he has to do but was thinking of getting a 2.5m. 3m a more common size so more availability and would be fine on his 85hp.
