No flea beetle or slug problems, what about pigeons ?
What yield can I expect ?
What about harvesting without reglone ?

Yielded less than spring grown linseed, cost far more to grow, spent a long time rouging and spraying patches off for blackgrass. Gross margin was very poor.

Just grow spring. Use the intervening period to grow a cover crop or sort out blackgrass. Direct drill works well or certainly did in our area.

Ok. We are north part of North Yorks, I tried spring but didn,t actually get it harvested until late Oct.
Thats why i liked the look of winter as its an earlier harvest.

The harvest for us was fine, think it was around 25th July. Tbh, if you fancy a crack at it have a go, at least you will know yourself wether you want to carry on with it in the following years. I personally thought the seed was horrendously expensive..
