Do you really think it's worth all the work to move them closer, and comprise the trash flow.
After all we are quite a few out here making decent results with aftermarket openers and 25 cm spacing.
Great drill btw, if I had more ha's to cower I would have one too but I have to stick to my 4 meter. ☺
Jacob.
This drill looks like its had a lot of money spent on it,look at the rear packer wheels that have the new type of tandem units that would cost you £5k to do. Well done you've had a good buy!
Your 10" row spacing will end up at twin 5" rows if you use a duett coulter.
Well spotted, you've got the sprinter tandem axles on there Clive.
I think for barley you mught be better off with a little narrower spacing. Wheat wouldn't worry me but barley tends to need to be thick to do well. might be better for chemicalless weed control toothe duet will be binned - way to much disturbance / cultivation for my likeing ! - my point will be more like the bean coulter hopefully 10-12mm wide point only so rows will be spaced at tine spacing
i'm going to experiment with running (used 750a) discs ahead of the point as well but not sure how necessary this is
Looks like those lights need a bit of a refurb @Clive. We need an update on your support trailer!

What make & sort of tine & tine opener are you going to fit Clive ?????
I treating .... Want to share anything more at this stage
i'm planning on designing and making my own - nothing out there quite like I want or at a price I like or that I feel will last on my abrasive soil type
if they work well I might sell them if others are interested ? more I make the cheaper they would get
That ferobide tungsten looked good at the midland machinery show, I got a sample to try on one of my tine Seder points to cut down on the wear and disturbance they create in the spring. Some of that as hard facing could help if it fits in with your design.
Tine with a leading disc & something in front of disc to clear cover crop or residue would' be my preference
