There was a 4000 there before the 165, it arrived with the pedals bolted together. Fudge that I though, straight to the workshop and grinder,was a very good tractor after that

Update on the bucket and bracket conversions.
Finished grain bucket (apart from paint )
Also finished 4 in 1 (apart from paint )
Now need to alter hitch on 3cx so that I can pick them up

This is verging on bodge but I used the lathe so it's engineering.
One knackered uj with hexagon centre (dealer only part, many £££)
And a standard bondioli to the rescue
Turn the top half on one and the bottom off the other
The centre of the new uj was round so a shoulder on the old one and it all centred up nicely.
Weld together and paint it looks like new!

No. The new one had the machined ring for the pro guard at the bottom otherwise it would've been a 4 jaw job

I poo-pooed this thread - I was wrong, that was a very tidy piece of work that many on the bodges creations thread would have shouted down because they wanted to do it but couldn't.

We got Masons to make one for our NH85 which is, of course, the dogs doodahs. Have a set of brackets to make another one to go on front linkage one day. You're welcome to come and have a look at both for inspiration and pattern if you want. Dawsons farms have a masons one on a 3cx and it's as quick as the telehandler. Big bugger mind almost 2t of wheat.

Yeh have always used 3cx in grain shed for loading etc.
The grain bucket full will get the back wheels off the floor when lifting out of the heap, especially this year.
Used it for the first time this morning to fill the mill up, had it on the matbro and seemed really strange

Stupid poxy alloy trumpet broke on on the cable for the valve block. From experience I know they are mega bucks so time to fire up the lathe again. I've obviously left it a rough finish so it looks like the dull alloy. Honest
