We always pre calving pour a mix of iodine on cows backs in the run up to calving. I’m wondering about putting it in water tanks and they can drink it through the water . Both farms are private water tanks in the fields that supply the calving cows . Anybody else do this? I have heard of mixing it through a diet mixer for them to injest

Sure the farm i worked on in nz gave minerals through the water trough supply. Not sire about iodine

Easy as pie administering a bolus
Lost a beast few year ago due to choking on a bolus so don’t do it now plus it’s very time consuming catching every one in crush
