We are probably going to get the roundup for dedicating the OSR in an IBC. Is it really just the wisdom fastran closed transfer system for these? Has anyone else got a better solution?

I just cut part of the top out of a 10 litre can for decanting out of ibcs via the tap. Usually trace elements here.
If you have an air supply available, how about one of these? You can pump it straight into the induction bowl and save yourself the expense of the closed transfer kit.

Buy the stuff in bags (10kg) as granules. Glyfos Dakar- concentrated solution so less volume to handle and very easy to pour out. Fast and no messing formulation, too. Widely compatible with a lot of other products so ideal for stubbles etc as well.

Closed transfer chem filling?
Does anyone use this? I thought about getting Glyphosate in IBC's but my agronomist reckons it's no cheaper What other chems are available in returnable containers?

Thanks for the replies. We sometimes use the granules but as good as they are I always worry it hasn’t mixed properly. The IBC is no cheaper than the equivalent product in 20lt. It just seems to make more sense to have it in bulk and suck out what we need.

I can see that and I like the idea of the environmental savings but what if the IBC of glyphosate leaked via faulty tap, damage, leak in pipe etc. Not sure it's worth the extra risk unless you know something about glyphosate being banned...
My understanding is that the glyphosate ibc are top emptying only so will require a pump.
Surprising that it's no cheaper per litre in the IBC.

Err, dunno about the UK / Euro, but here all our Ag chem shuttles / ibcs ( including genetic glypho & branded Royndup ) have a tap outlet at the bottom, as well as the top outlet
And yes, it is cheaper in bulk than in 20 l drums

I once dropped a full 1000 l shuttle of glypho, from a height of a metre
it deformed the outer metal cage
that’s all . . .
they are very tough. The biggest problem is the sunlight breaks down the plastic after a few years, if you are repurposing the old shuttles
You could siphon it ,just dont get a mouthful it might taste better than diesel or petrol though ?
