By the colour it’s claas si your off to a claas proctologist. The nut looks added on. Or find a good machine shop with a broach to make you one but they’ll want the shaft out to measure and match too. costly too that route

I welded the nut on
Not wanting to spend much, someone must have a match lying under the bench or in the nettles

Probable but without more info on number of splines. Machine it’s off and what the spline attaches too it’s hard to say if anyone has one. If it’s not a high speed and power application I’d be tempted to change it to a lesser diameter in a lathe and cut a keyway in it.

Cut the external bit that fits on it length ways, once with a thin cutting disc, weld a couple of lugs with holes on next to the lengthwise cut, then put a bolt and nut through the lugs to clamp the external part tightly round the splined shaft? Depends what the external bit is like though. If it’s cast or elaborate, you can’t do it.

Looks very similar to the unblocking lever spines on my JD Combine drum shaft. 10/11 series. Why not just use big socket on nut to wind it instead of spines. Admittedly not exactly sure what you’re asking here.

The nut is rounded
I think i will cut the nut off and weld on a 540 spline as the big splines seem far from common
Do you have an unblocking lever for jd?
