Welcome to the club, the paint on a JCB is very poor & JCB will not do any thing to put it right, Dealer will maybe do something for you but JCB will not there customer service is very poor now adaysJust been delivered (new) and paint job is shocking , even has rust in places where it’s not even been painted properly , heard of one other locally delivered a month ago , any more ?

The funny bit about that is it's still true!!Ah but you'll never go wrong buying a JCB, worth more second hand see, even if heavily oxidised.

I like my Loadalls but I agree the black paint especially is very poor, but folk still want them when used.
My last one depreciated at £2.94/hr on the clock over 5000 hrs with me, buying bill to selling bill. Nothing else can touch that.

Don’t know why they don’t go back to an all yellow machine like in the early 80s
