Martinmas sale, cally mart.

He’s also stopped a lot of folk coming as he just blows them out of the water and puts them off . Some marts were losing a lot of customers because folk got fed up of turning up to one buyer with 20 accounts.
Well that’s your opinion but I’m a big believer in not shooting a man down unless there’s someone there willing to stand in his boots.

Totally agree, and I like the man and think he is a very good businessman but I think there would be plenty folk to fill his boots . It’s not much use if the sellers move on,a lot of sheep going east and south now to be sold.

I’ve spent enough time bidding against him to know that he buys the best value sheep in the mart. I haven’t seen him blowing his brains out just to sicken folks off. He will however take sheep to their value if he wants them.
It’s alright doubting his value as a buyer when there’s plenty of demand for sheep but remember who was braying away at them when no bugger wanted them

I always think opposition is the life of trade and I don’t like a monopoly,I walked I wasn’t willing too be given what one man thought they were worth. I went to where there is 10+ buyers and I am a lot better off. He doesn’t need to blow his brains out he is far smarter than that.
