Which is best, for any particular reason?
I've looked at the Ritchie and I'm thinking the I7 is the next one up worth it?
Didn't realise iae were different at first.

I currently have an iae crush but the next crush will probably be a Ritchie as I think they are a bit stronger.

Iae or Rtchey dont make weigh bars or scales .

you need to be a bit more 'descriptive' about it ie are you asking about weigh bars/scales that are fitted respectively, or the actual crush of either ?

Iae use Gallagher on their crushes and Ritchie sell Tru Test.

I can’t comment on Gallagher, but my tru test I7 is ok. But don’t get me started on the Eid stick reader.

I think your choice has to go with what you want to to do and how you use the data.

Gallagher make excellent scales and are also good to contact after sales unlike truest ime.

The base model WO weigh scale is really good value imo.

Trutest 7i is exspensive (twice the cost) in comparison to that one (gallagher WO) and a trutset S3 (both good and useful scales) prove that it isnt necessary to spend that much (7i) for data collection becasue both the WO and S3 will workwith phones (ble bluetooth ) and Agrident readers for data collection theres no need to record stuff on the scale in most common practical situations .... imo.

get Gallager , the weigh bars with no cables and connect with bluetooth are excellent ..
weigh bars down below/under potentially in the muck and wet isnt the best idea imo but they are all like because of cheaper build costs i suppose.

but considering all the old springbalance scales were up on suspended crushes /crates then if they wanted to they couild build then suspended now and use weigh cells /strainguages up top, out of the way of the crap that can make them unreliable or not long lived and be expensive to replace. dampness getting in being a common factor. and all makes of weigh bar will be subject to risk that im afraid.

with the wireless weigh bars, I assume you then need a reader or something to know what animal is in the crush? Keen to get setup with weighing but stopping and recording each animal is a real pain

its a blue tooth in a box in a bar.which coulkd go wrong and still has 4 load cells to go wrong with damp etc etc despite how they are selling it. ( "no cables no problem style")
got pay for the app that will get to your phone i believe. dont need a weigh head then .
would still have to tap in its ear tag number on the phone though.

I'm mainly interested in the weigh bars and display.

Yes I'm calling Gallagher iae
Tru test Ritchie or Bateman.

I should have looked them up again but knew you would get the idea.

Sounds like tru test have the market share / leaders but as with most things it's built on a name and not as good as expected.

The i7 tru test scales I have are fine, link to my software (breedr) and do what they are supposed to do. The stick reader doesn’t want to work at all. Datamars/Tru test say it’s the problem with breedr. It’s not- I still have a AgriWebb account annd it won’t link and also set up a Datamars Data link account to see if it would work on that and it doesn’t. I have spoken to a few farmers who have had issues with it too.

I have a pair of Tru-test MP 1010 load bars for sale complete with an S3 indicator. The load bars were recently rebuilt with totally new cells etc by Allied Weighing and have a 12 month warranty. The S3 indicator was bought new about 3 years ago and is as new condition. Reason for sale is I have sold the farm and no longer need them. The load bars are still in the packing that they came back from Allied Weighing so not been used since the rebuild. PM me if interested.

Sorry to hear you're having problems, Apple's latest update has affected some stick readers, I believe we've fixed the problem. Could you call the customer support team, or send me your number so we can sort this out with you? 03300 436327
