Looking at Uniform to link to parlour and collars. Looks very expensive as add ons are needed to make it all work. What are peoples experiences, as I know that there are other options. Thanks

Uniform is a subscription based on cow numbers (with no VAT charged)

We run Uniform piggybacked on to Dairy Plan and linked directly in to CTS. Like any software, it’s only as good as the info you put in and want out but the dashboard is a good feature (not as good as the old Lely T4C) that gives at a glance info

Works well here use it to link parlour and heat detection systems, all information input done on unifrom. Good for reports etc. and for official stuff calf registration and movements.

Expensive compared to what and over how many cows.
We couldnt live without it now. Pulls all the data and operations into one place. Apart from heat detection and the cow manager front end has to be used for that.

Wouldn't be without Uniform here. Everyone can use it and the backup is one of the best for farm software. Changed collars last year now on Alta/needap. Really liked Cow manager but the wont unlock the ID for the parlour so that was the end of the conversation. Everything runs smoothly

Don't currently have anything like this. GEA parlour and nedap collars but would like to link them up, plus BCMS and CIS to save on duplication and my time. There are others in the market but it sounds like Uniform is way ahead of the others

Please share some details of the collars. We are looking for activity and parlour ID in one device, to link to Fullwood parlour -> Crystal -> Uniform

We were on GEA collars many of which were 12 years old and still working. Wanted to upgrade and got a grant last year. Settled on the Alta which are really Needap can also get them in GEA green. They communicate with the parlour for ID,seg gate and feeding. Yeild is sent from the parlour to Uniform. Have activity for bulling, this is a step forward from the old collars and we thought they were good. We do no manual heat detection. Also ruminating is very good at picking up sick cows. All the data is available on a web page and there is a lot of it.

How do you shed your cows out?

We have a shedding gate, but Allflex won't link to Cow Manager as they want to sell their system...
