You can vanneer tip awwer crammelin about on the gut ruts and when you get into a machine or tractor it's even worse! To be honest we have a bit of a routine for feeding up bedding and scraping out then try to get some other stuff done too
It just takes a bit of time buggering about defrosting something and the ‘other jobs’ in the day don’t get done
Feeding sheep is slow crammeling about on top of frozen ruts

We are on calving too which doesn’t help matters. I was waken this morning at 3 ish wondering how I was going to sort some of it out today it ended up being a lot easier than expectedThey are short days, don't get much done,
Some on here will wonder what we are doing spending all day feeding sheep!
We will try to spread some tomorrow depending on what comes infront of us. Not expecting to manage it but will try. We usually end up on in the wet here.3 days mucking out….been desperate for it!

Our sheep are mostly fed every 3 or 4 days just fill the feeders upI was just going to ask...
Spent an hour moving one long fence and 30 minutes on another, that's 550 of the sheep fed for 4 or 5 days. Was going to move another but the sun went down and it got a tad chilly suddenly, so spent half an hour p*ssing about carting buckets to the 20 ewes that are in a shed.
Have you got an exemption over there?3 days mucking out….been desperate for it!
