Hi all,
What are your thoughts on Massey Fergusons 4370 with 24/24 power shuttle? Seem a nice looking tractor. How would they fare baling and pulling a 10ft mo/co? Do they give much trouble?
Thanks

They are a glorified 188 with a 6cyl, powershuttle and splitter.
The 24x24 had too much packed into the 188 casting and was very prone to overheating, MF offered a mod, a bigger oil cooler and an extra hydraulic filter, if that was fitted in time it was a help.
They have a great gutsy engine, it will be well able for a 10' moco, just keep the rad and oil cooler clean.
The lift on the other hand is not fit for a mounted 10' moco.
They are a good lightweight tractor, but don't expect it to anything more than that.

Thanks for your reply, they're not awfully common from where I live which is a heavily populated massey ferguson area.

Were on our second 1, both 12x12 manual shuttle first 1 done over 15000 slow counting hours of hard graft, can honestly say it was the most reliable tractor we ever owned, needed a new 4wd shaft, hitch, hydralic pump,1 set of brakes and mabe 3 or 4 clutches and couple of alternators and couple sets of batteries. Still started on the first turn over even when cold. Never ever leave her running with the shuttle in gear when not moving as this causes oil around plates to overheat resulting in warped plates
