Anyone that's started down the road of using some land for BNG unit creation?
The initial selling price of the units looks attractive but I'm trying to get some idea on what the ongoing costs and management restrictions are?
Putting in a mixture of Other Neutral Grassland and Lowland Meadow...
Having a clear out in the workshop, came across this unopened 25L drum. Picture of the only identification on it. So what is it 🤷♂️:X3::scratchhead::LOL:......
Just wondering, one block of farm with main buildings and sheep yard .
Normally bale the 15 acres ( 12+3 )and also a 4 acre field of the bit marked 16.
We get nice short cut sweet green hay but not so much of it , so you wise sheep men and women … to buy in fodder and rotate the sheep or to make...
If I put kale in at the start of April and grazed it off in June or July would it grow back again ok to graze in the winter ? I’m sure there was a thread on here somewhere about it but can’t find anything
Just an observation last night as driving home.
Lot of horse paddocks on rough ground. At the moment lot I went past are just muddy bogs. Some right against the river. (if was cattle then would be hell to pay...)

Lundell forage harvester
Lundell seed drill
Bamford Wuffler
Cock Pheasant Tedder
Kidd Rotaflail
Taskers Fertispread
So if I went for 3 years in the same spot, surely I could drill it in year one, and every year after just cultivate it once and the volunteer seed return would be enough to grow a crop for the next year and so on. Making a significant saving on seed costs. What are your thoughts

I monetary terms yes but as history has shown us in the past our island nation cannot rely on foreign food supply.
Only chap I’ve noticed...
Just spotted on a local facebook group.
Selfish me, no animals on my land that could all have horses on as we speak!
Did make me laugh, and yes she's serious
