Hi
I have recently purchased a new to me sprayer which has Trimble CFX-750 screen running section control and EZ steering through an AG25 receiver. Currently it is running on the free EGNOS signal.
I would be interested to hear others opinions, would the EGNOS signal be good/accurate enough...
Morning all and happy new year.
Further to the information we published about the Sustainable Farming Incentive in December (see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/sustainable-farming-incentive-how-the-scheme-will-work-in-2022), today we're publishing information about the 2 other new...
Have just received the Public Accounts Committee report on ELMS, and associated press release. I think 'damning' pretty much covers it. It is embargoed until Sunday so will post on here then, just starting a thread now in case anyone else who has had it is less worried about such niceties and...
I see that John Deere launched theirs at CES in the States. Is this a big revolution or just an update on RTK? I remember Kubota had something similar at Agritechnica in 2019.
As an aside, being the photographer for this must be tricky as they just look like photos of tractors with no...
With so much data captured on farm, making it useful can be like unlocking Pandora’s box. Researchers from Rothamsted Research – Kirsty Hassall, Alice Milne and Andy Whitmore – share how yield and satellite data can help with precision management in potato crops.
Modern technology allows...
The Soil Farmer of the Year competition has been running since 2015, providing a platform for individuals and businesses to demonstrate how soil management can build environmental and economic resilience. The competition aims to recognise, promote and champion farmers who are passionate about...
We seem to produce an inordinate amount of mildly contaminated water from washing down and cleaning the parlour and bulk tank.
At the moment it’s pumped to a slurry tank under one of the cow sheds but this compromises storage
We’ve tried irrigating via a Rotorainer but it’s too fragile and...
Changes in weather patterns are just one of many challenges farming is facing. John Deere is investing huge resources into solving these challenges. Three core technologies are shaping the future: Electrification, Automation to Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence

As per title ,was wondering if the On Trak would be a simple and reasonably cheap enough thing to help my fert application (if it ever gets cheap enough ) but mainly for utilising my smallish crop sprayer to apply seaweed /growth promoters / foliar N and the like !
Will suit me on the tractor...
Hi all,
I’d like to hear what people’s experiences have been like with variable rate N.
I’ve been looking at the Yara Atfarm system and it looks quite accessible for the likes of me (not into too much tech and not farming 1000’s of acres).
I’m not looking at this because of the current N...

I am looking to buy into Frontier's Soyl/iSoyl, mainly to move towards applying liquid nitrogen at variable rates. Does anyone have any experience with this service? How well does it work?
I have an Amazone UF-02 bought 1 year ago with an Amatron 4 screen, will a link up to this be seamless?
I apologise if the above has been asked on TFF before. If it has please point me to the relevant thread.
If it hasn’t please can you reply to my thread.
I am asking the above as a major housing development is starting on the out skirts of our local town. It would be interesting to get some...
I had an issue with my wrapper last season, the satellite would not hold position after wrapping a bale, it seemed like the plastic would pull it back so that the sensor would not pick up that it was in the right place, very frustrating! my drive gear was worn so i replaced it, that took a lot...
That’s my view of it. Sell yourselves for £10 per acre if you like but until they come to their senses over autumn manure, they’ll get no cooperation on voluntary matters from me.
BBC posted an article Wednesday on Delhi Air Quality, noting Indian farmers and crop burning. And obv resulting pollution.

Think BBC got their views from this nasa article. The data they uses comes from the Moderate Resolution Imaging...
