Ad Blue deletes on New Hollands

Are manufacturers starting to make such things harder?
I ask because my neighbour was telling me about a local outfit running Euro 6 Daf's who were needing it deleted (not a legal requirement here apparently) but the dealer said it couldn't be as easily done as Euro 5's as a normal remap wouldn't work?

What happens to these maps when the dealer plugs in to the machine?

Dealers don't really know what they're talking about, the eastern European code crackers are always going to be one step ahead. A Euro 6 DAF is probably just running a Bosch EDC7 so I don't see why it would be an issue?

If they plug in to read/clear codes, they won't find anything out of the ordinary. If the dealer updates the ECM/PCM software, the map will often be erased. If parts of your Ad Blue/DPF/whatever system have been physically removed/disabled, you'd end up with a fault code and often an engine in limp mode.

Best to stay away from the dealer.

It's also "illegal" to march into your neighbours country and bomb the shyte out of it and the population

In the grand scheme of things, is a few grams extra diesel fume emissions a year really that much of a concern? The majority of the rest of the planet doesn't advocate burning extra fuel to reduce emissions, it's only in the "developed" Western world that voters need appeased from the pollution petrochemical companies produce

If you want to save the planet, stop boarding jumbo jets that burn literally tonnes of the stuff every flight, make fertiliser out of the morons who's lifestyle choices are to eat food grown across the planet in deforested land, and farm livestock that live on grass not cereals.

Yes, the latest "tier" emission software is making it harder to delete adblue; instead of just updating one file, many manufacturers have integrated engine, transmission, and hydraulic ECU's. Alterations to any part of the software affects the entire tractor. It's making it much more complicated to "tweak", just as they made it harder to turn up the pump with a 10mm spanner all those years ago, but never impossible

Anyone wishing to berate their neighbour for deleting the expensive and failure prone emissions equipment from a tractor really needs to take a step back and look at the real issues facing this ludicrously over populated planet
