Seen a agriknives stand at the ploughing in Stradbally, but not a knife to be seen, just wooden posts
I stopped bringing the machine to the ploughing as too many people looking at it and asking what it is for , I sold 4 machines at the ploughing this year to contractors who now know that our machine can’t be beaten at sharpening knives,

Kuhn just tell the operator to clamp the knife in a vice and give it a rub with a grinder 🙄

Even the manufacturers have given up waiting for a response from Jimmy 🤣

The machine manufactures don’t want to sell a sharpening that makes knives last 5-6 times longer than using the grinder, they sell a lot more knives when they are sharpened wrong.

This thread is bizarre, Blatantly ignoring potential customers. As someone else said, Imagine the after sale service, Must be too much money in cheap stakes.
Like most people I just use a grinder flap disc to clean up and keep the edges as sharp as possible on a baler. And if they need it I have no problem carefully grinding out the gouges on the other side of the knife if they need it. Don't overdo it and it works fine for me.

I bought a goweil sharpener last year. After alittle bit of setup. It works great and is way way faster then sharpening with a grinder and keeps the angle perfectly. Should have bought one years ago.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
