Algae in water troughs

We’ve got about 30 water troughs on the mains supply on a couple blocks of ground we own and some we rent, and always have algae in the, some worse than others, and after putting in a brand new trough get algae within a month, wondering if fish would be a potential solution or if anyone has has and luck with anything else, all opinions welcome as it really gets to me seeing troughs full of the stuff, thanks

Put a small bit of copper sulphate in your tanks twice a year and they’ll be spotless

Can’t you just buy “trough blocks” from your local produce store ?

very common problem here with our sunlight & heat

Looks like your troughs are on the large size compared to ours, bigger than some of our slurry tankers. 7000 litres. I feel like we’re just playing at the job.
