In the process of possibly upgrading the sprayer it would be full isobus and GPS section control I have a GFX 750 and it’s working out a lot dearer to get an amatron 4 with section unlock and connect to the Trimble to provide speed and position into the amatron 4, is any body using the Trimble GFX 750 as an isobus terminal working section control in a sprayer and auto steering .
Is there to much going on in the one screen or am I concerned about nothing and it’s a great job

Running a gfx 750 with isobus v/t,task controller, and auto steering.,section control running 72 sections. No problems all works fine. Why buy another screen sounds like your dealer is trying to get more money out of you

Personally I wouldn’t touch the Amatron 4. Upgraded our sprayer 18 months ago and it’s been trouble. Often takes numerous attempts of switching on and off to get it to load properly especially the joystick. Final straw was a few weeks ago when the gps switch would only work after disconnecting the isobars cable, waiting for “implement failure” to appear and then reconnecting. This had to be done each time the tractor was started.

Now have section control unlocked on Massey Fieldstar 5 terminal. Sprayer loads up on terminal faster than it ever did on Amatron 4. Much more accurate as now using RTK signal for section control. Only issue is that the Fieldstar terminal won’t store the proffered assignment for the joystick. Have to enter the function to button assignments each time I start the tractor or use the fixed Amazone assignment, but generally much less problems than when using the Amatron box.

72 sections! Individual nozzles on a 36m or 25cm nozzle widths?
I’ve got 16 sections on 24m and thought it was plenty!

@Massey 6470 Just wondering how you've set your sprayer up with control? We have been running our Amazone spreader with GFX-750 but it's a bit painful swapping between screens for guidance, section control and machine function. We've the chance of swapping spreader tractor to 7726 with Datatronic 4 and Fieldstar 5 terminal. Would like to use the GFX-750 for steering and autosection and data 4 for machine operation, if the Fieldstar could be used as secondary screen for the GFX-750 it would be great but think I'm asking the impossible!

Using amatron 4 for the sprayer and fieldstar 5 for guidance. We had to disconnect the isobus in the incab isobus socket that the amatron was plugged into as when you turned the key on it was a fight between the 2 as to which one wanted to control the isobus regardless of the amatron being selected as the primary vt1. Not sure if you could supply gps position to the fieldstar from your gfx and section control through it

Mine now works in the tier 5 on massey multi pad - I must try the Amazone joystick the next time sprayer is on it as multi pad has limited functionality compared to the amapilot
