Don't be silly, he means theseI didn't know you could make cake out of sheep. The vegans won't be happy...
Word has it, not such a good crop of sheep nuts this year.
A low crop of nuts in my early lambs......they’re nearly all ewe lambs.
With barley at £115 a ton this seems incredibleWhere are you? A decent 18% ewe nut in the SW £235/t bulk

Suppose that’s transport don’t think I’d get much more than 115 if I asked merchants this week. Yes other ingredients will be dearer but do you really need anything more special than barley and a bit of protein and minerals mixed upNot much Barley at £115 now. I was offered £125 for non-FA (ex farm) yesterday.
Most of the other ingredients in the concentrate will be far dearer of course.

Can’t see it going up much most of the country will be planted into spring barleyMy price was quoted by a merchant that moves it farm to farm, so would be dearer delivered on farm obviously. It was £115 off the combine, at the lowest point, iirc.

I can. Most of the country’s Winter Barley is dead or dieing, and certainly won’t yield well whatever happens now. SB will always be behind on yield, even if it dries up enough for them keen fellas to drill in February. If I could afford to forego the income, i’d happily Be looking to sit on a pile of Barley to next winter.
gavs 6 month weather , has a drier spell just after christmas for a few weeks , February march april may looking like last few months mild westerlies with heavy thundery rain belts , going to be very difficult cultivation's if that comes offI can.
