Our beet contractor is slowly retiring.
He has sold his harvester to a younger up and coming contractor, who has lifted half of our beet so far this season, and made a good job.
If we weren't growing spuds, I'd probably lift my own, but right now, contracting it out works best.
Financially, buying my own beet drill makes far more sense than buying a harvester, on the area we have to sow.
Current machine used by our contractor is a Webb, that's about as old as me! It's operator knows it inside out, so there's no problem with the job it makes, have to be fussy with seedbeds though.
We're probably looking at drills about 10yo.
The choice seems to be Accord Monopill, or Stanhay Rallye 590 - which is best? Where are the weak points? What to avoid?
Thank you in anticipation
