An canny old boy told me years ago, If you buy a “cheap heap” the minute you got it you be looking for it’s replacement. So buy decent to start with.

I haven’t learnt though......

Blessed is the man without expectation, for he shall never be disappointed.

If your caught looking at other women.
Just because you go to the mart to look at hiefers, doesn't mean you're going to buy any.

Every moutj needs fed, and a fanny won't eat straw.

When handing cattle there are three of you in the relationship.
You, the cattle and Hazel stick, and Hazels in charge

Copper Grease. Use it everywhere every time, even if you think the machine is getting scrapped and you're never going to see it again.

Spot On!

A mantra I have subscribed to since the late 70s when I was the poor bloody idiot maintaining a Standen single row beet harvester. Every nut and bolt or bit of shafting etc that was taken apart, ALWAYS had Copaslip when re-assembling.

best one my dad had was...'let the machine do the work'...but then he would wander around with a wheelbarrow rather than use the forklift :scratchhead: :D

my own is 'if you don't know...ask'......which contradicts the saying 'better to remain silent and ppl think you a fool than to speak and remove all doubt'...i'd rather be thought foolish for a few mins but learn meself:)

edit..cracking idea for a thread olls BTW (y)
