Took the pup for a walk down the fields early this morning, it's like wearing ankle weightsYes good boots but heavy and clumsy.
Yeh I got pair ad well just waiting of them coming on againI dont like to be critical but you have all missed out.
Lidl once a year have neoprene style wellies for £20 . A bl**dy bargain. I bought 2 pairs last winter and still havent worn out the first pair. If you are all buying £140 wellies for work you must be paid too well.
The material is similar to crocs. @Bald Rick might be for you.
I just wondered how you were getting on with these wellingtons? Are they the 4 mm neoprene ones?Just bought a pair of these hoggs wellies will see if they do the job been wearing buck boot neoprene cant get a year out of them
Totally agree I have about had them all and you never get a year. Lucky 6 months. Think those real cheap Dunlop’s would last as long as anything but not comfortable.Had most makes and they've all failed for one reason
or another after a few months use.
I think wellies are not built for heavy farm work end of.
I find any rubber doesn’t stand up to wear and tear or any chemical or mud. Hate the muck boot type Wellington as they are so heavy. If it wasn’t for muck I would happily where waterproof boots. Most wellingtons are not recommended for dairy farmers. I can’t find a decent pair. Have the Steplites. Comfy plenty of grip, but every pair leak.
Had a pair years ago, can't remember then being any better or worse than any other wellies.anybody had NORAMAX wellies, sick of ordinary noras splitting after 3 months
How are they for being heavy?View attachment 910902
just can’t recommend these enough. I typically stand the majority of a 12 hour day Milking etc and these are great. Took them on our 10 mile per day pheasant hunting walks and my feet never hurt,
The Alaskan sneaker they call them
I've taken back 2 pairs and had refund from mvf .They crack across the sole !Most wellingtons are not recommended for dairy farmers. I can’t find a decent pair. Have the Steplites. Comfy plenty of grip, but every pair leak.
Used to use Dunlop puroforts but now seem to split easy .They are very light but offer nothing to support ancle! How are they for being heavy?
I've been reading up on them and like the sound of them, especially when it mentions using with chemicals. A lot of wellies here give a good warranty, but the small print doesn't really cover them for dairy work and slurry.
I'm on the hunt for the holy grail of dairy wellies, and so far have ruled out Aigle, Ariat, Nora, Joules and Musto. Dunlop Puroforts have gone cheap and cold, but are probably the best for the price. Bekina are ok, but a sloppy fit.
I need warm, light and non-slip
I reckon on 6 months for Dunlops, but as you say, naff all support. My Aigles are light and supportive, but slippy so have been moved to 'going out' (what's that?) wellies, Ariats were heavy and lasted a month, Musto were comfy and grippy, but lasted 2 days, Joules did about 5 months, but at least were refunded in full, and you might as well walk barefoot for all the warmth Noras giveUsed to use Dunlop puroforts but now seem to split easy .They are very light but offer nothing to support ancle!
